In Pennsylvania, the tax burden on Philadelphians is too high. Philadelphia has the highest wage tax, highest sales tax, and only Philadelphia has a beverage tax.

The beverage tax impacts more than you think.  It is hurting families and businesses by putting people out of work and increasing grocery bills.

The tax, $1.92 per gallon, has raised prices on thousands of items – from juice, iced teas and milk to sports drinks and diet and low-calorie options – taking money out of the pockets of working families and unfairly targeting local businesses such as grocery and convenience stores.
